Handmade African fan by artisan women in the city of Bolgatanga, Ghana. They are handwoven in elephant grass , a hardy variety of grass that is dyed to create these colorful designs.
The knowledge acquired by the artisans is invaluable heritage from their ancestors. Recognizing the value of the surrounding resources, they found an ideal raw material to be used for the benefit of present and future communities.
