Collection: Terracotta

Sankore terracotta comes mainly from Burkina Faso. The art of the Lobi ethnic group is characterized by the reliefs on the pieces, which are used as containers to store millet or barley. Lobi pots were used in African homes and temples throughout the 20th century.
Also noteworthy is the handmade Moroccan ceramics, in which Tamegroute pieces have a special place in the collection.
